McComb, Pearl Phyllis of Cambridge (Preston) passed away at Cambridge
Memorial Hospital on Monday November 5, 2018, at the age of 78 years.
Beloved and devoted wife of Tom McComb for over 28 years. Loving
mother of Christine Smith (Greg), Deborah Chamberlain (Harold), Scott
Wagner (Toshia), and dear step-mother to Gary McComb (Patricia), Linda
Hunter (Brian) and Susan Bossie (Richard). Lovingly remembered by 15
grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean
Heath-Soper, Ruby and Ed Elford, and Tony and Angie Vaudin as well as
sister in-law to Diane. Pearl was predeased by her parents, Wilfred
and Hilda Vaudin, as well as her siblings Raymond, Mary and David.
Pearl was born in a small country in the Channel Islands named
Guernsey, before immigrating to Canada with her family at a very young
age. She was a long-time faithful member of Calvary Church in
Cambridge and served her Lord whenever and however He called her to do
so. Her ministry to others was in service–either baking/cooking
to comfort their physical life, or praying for their spiritual life.
Her faith in God never wavered, and all who knew her could testify to
that. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on
Saturday November 10th at 12:00 pm, with a visitation beginning at
10:00 am, and a time of refreshment and fellowship afterwards. This
will all take place at Calvary Church at 127 Hespeler Road in
Cambridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home,
Cambridge Ontario. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers,
donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your
choice would be appreciated and may be arranged by contacting the
funeral home at 519-740-0669.
