September 8, 1944 – March 1, 2019
After a very difficult few weeks serenity came to Judy at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Family was never very far in the week prior to her death.
Judy graduated from the University of Western Ontario (Huron College) in 1967 with a BA in psychology. She was a self-proclaimed news junkie, TV buff, avid reader, loyal Toronto Blue Jay fan and animal lover. Over the years she completed numerous knitted and needlepoint projects. Family was of the utmost importance to her & her gift of emotional support was given selflessly to many throughout her life.
Loving mother to her only child, Kirsten (Bill) and a special Granny to Brett & Noah. She will be lovingly remembered by her younger brothers: David (Rose), Richard and Donald (Paula), her nieces & nephews: Megan (Eric), Adam (Gin), Anna (Jesse), Ian, Nigel, Alicia (Ryan) and Veronica (John) and her five grand nieces and three grand nephews. Fondly remembered by her much loved childhood friends, Merle and Donna. She will leave a void in the hearts of many special extended family, friends and neighbours. Judy also leaves behind her fur baby kitty, Jinx, and her fur baby puppy Rex.
Predeceased by her brother Ronald - Richard’s twin (1979), parents Jack (2011) & Patricia (2013) Quist and Kirsten’s father, James Adams (2005).
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Corbett Funeral Home 95 Dundas St. N Cambridge on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 12 pm – 1:30 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm.
Special thanks to the paramedics as well as the professional, caring and doting multidisciplinary team in Cambridge Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department and ICU.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Judy’s memory to the Cambridge Humane Society or the Cambridge Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
Mizpah: The Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent from one another.
