Patricia Ivadell Witmer

1934-2019

Patricia Ivadell Witmer
Witmer, Patricia Ivadell (Kinzie, nee Kimpel)

March 17, 1934- September 8, 2019 passed peacefully at Innisfree House in Kitchener
Pat's family and many friends are sad to see a beautiful life come to an end. She was a source of inspiration for many with her easy going, loving nature and true generous spirit.
She volunteered tirelessly for many organizations throughout her life, Rockway Mennonite School, MCC thrift store, Bridges in Cambridge, Fairview Mennonite Home, Teddies for Tragedies and especially Ontario Christian Gleaners in Cambridge where she met many friends.
Pat raised her 6 children with her first husband Harry Jr. (d. 2000) on a dairy farm in Blair, loving the rural life after growing up in Preston. After Harry passed, Pat spent 10 years with family and good friends, travelling, quilting, enjoying nature, gardening, canning and volunteering. While volunteering at Gleaners she became reacquainted with an old friend, Bruce Witmer. They married and had 9 wonderful years together, living on his farm, entertaining, travelling, continuing to volunteer and they loved to drive through the countryside visiting farms. Pat was diagnosed with Cancer in Feb. 2019 and chose to live her life out naturally. She had a great life and served others selflessly. We will all miss her warm and witty spirit. Pat was predeceased by her first husband, Harry Kinzie (2000), her parents, Gordon and Beatrice Kimpel (nee Lohr), her brother John (Karen) and sister Sandra Wakeford. Pat is survived by her husband, Bruce, his children, Wendy (David Imrie), Steven (Karen), Nancy (Dr. Bert Loggan) and his grandchildren as well as her children, Gordon (Leslie Schiedel), Susan (Robert Keller), Kathy (Bruce Williams), Donald (Sandra Muir), Betty (JonathanTowell), Nancy (Bill Siegfried) and her grandchildren, Laurie (Scott), Kevin (Jenna), Jacob, Dana, Gavin (Amy), Kyle, Devin (Mickey), Tabitha (Derek), Seth (Bailey) and great grandchildren, Kristen (Cody), Taylor, Mason, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Brooklyn, Violet, Odin, and step great grandchildren Declan and Easton.
