Brian Pointer

Brian Pointer

It is with tremendous sadness to announce that on Sunday, November 3, 2019, Brian passed away at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

He spent his life devoted to his family who will miss him immensely; loving husband to Gail; incredible father to, Jeffrey (Tammy), Michael, Darren (Lori), and Brianne (Mike); proud grandfather to Emily, Chad, Damin, Ariana, Ellie, Malena, and Nora; fur-dad to Kendall and Diesel. He was predeceased by his father, Frederick Pointer; mother, Muriel Peever; step-father, John Alischer; son, Zachery Pointer; fur-baby, Harley. Brother to Frederick, William, and Robert.

He will be remembered as the most incredible man on the entire planet. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He absolutely loved to make people laugh. He would wear funny ties, masks, and hats just for a little chuckle and he could turn any frown upside down.

He had a lifelong passion for music. He loved to play his guitar, always searching for new songs to learn, and experimenting with different sounds and instruments. He loved to sing to his wife as she cooked for him surrounded by their house full of dogs and children.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and those who had the honour to know him.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 at Corbett Funeral Home in Cambridge, ON at 10 am with the service to follow at 11 am.

The burial will be held at Mount View Cemetery in Cambridge, ON after the service. A Celebration of Life is to be announced.

In Brian’s honour, please wear your funniest tie, if you have one.

Brian was wanting to donate music equipment and his time to the Community Music School of Waterloo and Guitars for Kids Cambridge. To honour his wishes, donations can be made in Brian’s honour to Community Music School of Waterloo Region at
