It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of our mother, Louise Brenda Thomson (nee Johnston), known to friends and family as "Brenda," passed away peacefully at her home, Hilltop Manor, with loved ones by her side on November 23, 2019 in Cambridge at the age of 80 years.

Brenda was born in Paris, ON, on December 31, 1938. Brenda’s career began with the Waterloo Region District Catholic School Board in 1967 as a dedicated secretary at St. Peter’s and later St. Margaret’s both in Cambridge. Retiring in 1996. She also was a member for many years of the Kinette Club of Galt and was a past president.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Lona (nee Dean) Johnston.

Loving wife to, AJ, for over 60 years. Deeply loved and missed by son Brad (Shona) and daughter Nicole (Scott). Dear grandmother to Kolby (Ethan), Alex, Bella and Hunter and great-grandson Liam. Fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.

Also survived by her sister Leilani (Gary Nickason) and sisters-in-law Shelia Ross (nee Thomson) and Sally Thomson (nee McKittrick).

Cremation has taken place. Visitation and service will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. in Cambridge from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Brenda’s life at Grand Valley Golf Course following the service from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Brenda can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
