Maria Resendes

Resendes, Maria Do Carmo- November 10, 1919-February 26, 2010- Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2010 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Laurenio Coelho Resendes. She will forever be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children; Manuel (Lilia), Natalia (Agostinho), Laurenio, and Carminha. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, who each adored her: Manny, Jean (John), Dean (Joanne), Tommy, Cesar (Fil), Nelson (Jill), Sandi, Peter (Priscilla), Sandra (Michael) and Jason. She was also the loving and cherished Great-Grandmother of 11: Aaron, Jesse, Olivia, Nick, Jack, Ben, Milena, Nico, Cristan, Marcus and Madeleine. We were greatly blessed to have her in our lives for so long and we will always remember the lessons she taught us, her kind generous nature and her beautiful smile. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 9 a.m. Rosary to be recited at the funeral home Sunday February 28, 2010 at 8 p.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank the fifth floor staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of her.
