Norma Furtney

Furtney, Norma (nee Mowbray) … passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday March 6, 2010 at Golden Years Nursing Home at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Walter Furtney. Loving mother of Doug (Louisa) of Cambridge and Dianne Chalmers of Cambridge. Dear grandmother of Ryan and Victorian Furtney and Darren, Samantha and Taylor Chalmers and great-grandmother of Owen Furtney. Norma will also be missed by her brothers Mel Mowbray (Linda) of Guelph, Michael Mowbray of Cambridge and her sister Jo-Anne Free of Brantford. Predeceased by her parents William and Theresa Mowbray, her sister in-law Shirley and brother in-law George. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Tuesday March 9, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday evening at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Chalmers St. S. Cambridge on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
