On Thursday, August 12, 2010, in his 80th year, Tony Brouwer went home to be with his Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Tony is survived by Frances, his beloved wife of 59 years. Beloved father of Helen & Andy Johnson, Alice & Dan Aukeman, Bill & Linda Brouwer, John & Christina Brouwer, Linda & Marvin Boven, Ron & Caroline Brouwer, Marlene & Bill Bos. Grandpa to 31 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister: John & Trudy Brouwer, Bill & Frieda Brouwer, and Elizabeth (Bep) Karelsen. Predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. We give thanks to the Lord for his life, and for the comfort we have in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus. Visitation at Zion United Reformed Church, 1238 Old Hwy 8, Sheffield, ON on Friday, August 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:30 in the afternoon following a private family burial.
