Jose Tavares Nordelo

Nordelo, Jose Tavares … Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday August 14, 2010 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Maria Nordelo (nee Monteiro). Cherished father of Aida Costa and her husband Tony, Nelida Andrade, and Zenalia Soares and her husband Jose Tiago. Special grandfather of Eldon Costa (Stephanie), Deborah Costa, Melanie Soares, Joshua Soares as well as his great-granddaughter Ava Costa. Jose will also be sadly missed by his sisters Maria Tavares Nordelo and Emilia Tavares Nordelo of Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Predeceased by his son Carlos, son-in-law Joe Andrade and his brother-in-laws Joao and Manuel. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Rosary will be recited at 8p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Elgin St. S., on Tuesday August 17, 2010 at 10a.m. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
