Schmidt, Elmer- At Lisaard House on Monday, August 23, 2010 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Marjory and dear father of Bradley Schmidt (Donna) of Kitchener; Douglas Schmidt (Debbie Araujo) of New Hamburg ; father-in-law of Janet Schmidt-Dickson of Kitchener and father of Arlene Hood and family of Cambridge. Dear grandfather of Taryn, Krystal, Brittney, Brooklyn, Maddison and Josh. Special uncle to Lori Heitshu and famly. He was predeceased by his son Gregory and his parents Michael and Mary Schmidt. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at Saint Luke’s Anglican Church, 1485 Mary Avenue, Cambridge on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 12 p.m. (noon) As expressions of sympathy donations to the Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Medical Day Care at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital and special thanks to the people of Lisaard House for all of their compassion and care shown to Elmer.
