Susanna Skanes

Skanes, Susanna (nee Cobb) March 4, 1943 – September 2, 2010 – Passed away surrounded by the loving arms of her family on September 2, 2010 at St. Luke’s Place, she was 67 years old. Susanna was born on Bell Island, Newfoundland; however she has resided in Cambridge for the past 36 years. Beloved wife of Freeman Skanes (Tim). Dear mother of Frederick (Elizabeth Furey), Brian, Lori-Ann Lahey (Edward), Paula (Jamie Leforte) and Susie (Chris Gray). Loving grandmother to Erica and Matthew Skanes. Survived by her sister Evelyn MacDonald, and brothers Tom Cobb (Dorothy) and Chris Cobb (Marcelle)and sisters in law Una Parsons (Jim), Lorraine Flemming (Ron), Marjorie Kanis (Peter), Margaret Rose (Charlie), Nancy Boyd (Gerald) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Eric and Margaret Cobb and by her five brothers Gerald, Joe, Jim, Jack and William, and by her sister Mary. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Saturday September 4, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday September 5, 2010 at 1:30pm. Reception to follow service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Remember Susanna for she to has lived, loved and laughed.
