Lloyd Boomer

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Lloyd Robert Arthur Boomer at the age of 88, on Saturday January 2, 2021. Predeceased by his loving wife, Eileen Boomer (May) March 16, 1994. He will be missed by sons Jeff, Brad and daughter Holli Linn(Jean-Guy); grandchildren Justin Linn (Jackie), Kyle Linn, Jenny Boomer (Cole) and Robert Boomer; great grandchildren, Tyler Jessome, Madison Linn and Sawyer Linn; Janetta Boomer, who was like a daughter to him and special friend Barbara Johnson.

Lloyd was a retired Staff Sargent for the WRPS (1986). He often talked about how the train crash in Galt (1956) happened on his second day. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Galt branch. He loved playing sports and sharing memories of competition and friendship. He had the pleasure to play hockey in Scotland, play golf with friends, play baseball with the Sheffield old timers and public skate in St. George. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
